The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) has announced two exciting recruitment notifications for 2024, inviting applications from highly motivated individuals passionate about working on studies related to river basin management and cognitive radar research. The first notification is for various positions in a project funded by the River Conservation Directorate, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, titled "Condition Assessment and Development of River Basin Management Plan (CAMP) for the Periyar River Basin, Kerala." The second notification is for the engagement of a Senior Research Fellow (on a contract basis) for a research project in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NITC. NIT Age Limit 2024

For the CAMP project, the maximum age limit is 35 years as of the last date for receipt of applications, with relaxation for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories and women applicants as per Government of India norms. For the Senior Research Fellow position, the maximum age limit is 35 years as of the last date of submission of the application, with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

NIT Qualification 2024

CAMP Project:

• Project Associate-II: M.Sc./M.Tech. in relevant fields with 1-2 years of experience
• Project Associate-I: B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech. in relevant fields with 1 year of experience
• Project Assistant: Diploma in Civil Engineering/B.Sc. in Chemistry or Physics

Senior Research Fellow:

Essential: M.Tech. in Signal Processing/Machine Learning/ECE or closely allied areas with valid GATE and first-class B.Tech. in ECE or closely allied areas, OR M.Sc. in Mathematics or Statistics with valid GATE/NET and first-class B.Sc. in Mathematics or Statistics, along with 2 years of research and development experience.

Desired: Experience in system modeling, machine learning, statistical signal processing, and pattern recognition tools in Python/MATLAB.

Salary

The remuneration for the CAMP project positions ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 per month, along with admissible HRA as per Government of India rules. The consolidated monthly pay for the Senior Research Fellow is ₹42,000 per month, plus 18% HRA.

The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photograph submitted.
2. After shortlisting, the eligible candidates will be notified by email and invited for the online interview
3. The Institute reserves the right to relax qualification and experience for the candidates with exceptional credentials.
4. Applicants who are already in employment (government or any other organization) are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of interview along with the above-mentioned documents.
